The Dibabáons are likely a hybrid group. They shared a dialect with the Manóbos of Ihawán and Baóbo. In terms of attire and other traits they are similar with the Mandayas. They claim relationships with Manóbos and adhere to many of their religious beliefs and customs. They live in the upper half of the Sálug River Valley and the region to the west, all the way to the Baóbo River.
The livelihood of the community is popular for hunting, as this is embedded in the community’s custom. The hunt is distributed to the families of the community for an equitable share. Similarly, during harvest, half of the harvest is allocated to the harvesters in the morning, while the remaining half in the afternoon will go to the farm owner.
